THALASSA Marine research was entrusted by the Albanian Center for Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development (ACEPSD; on MedPAN and SPA/RAC funds) to analyse 140 fishing operations that took place outside and inside the marine protected area of Karaburun-Sazan, Albanie. We analysed photo-samples taken at landing of fish catches from August 2019 to January 2020.
Once again we were selected to apply the methodology developed and standardized within the European project FishMPABlue2. This methodology is being used more often by MPA managers for the sustainable management of fisheries in MPAs.
